Why Painting?

Painting, for Jess, is about more than just representation—it's about expression. While a photograph can be beautifully composed, she believes a painting should feel different: imperfect, textured, and full of life.

She’s endlessly inspired by the power of color and the possibilities of the medium. Paintings come alive in the unplanned details—the drips, bleeds, globs, and brushstrokes that can’t be perfectly replicated. These moments of spontaneity are what give a piece its soul. There's a kind of poetry in that.

What is live painting?

A live painter creates a painting in real-time at a predetermined location
The finished product is a painting that can be a treasured memory shared with those at the event as well as for the intended recipient (usually an event’s hosts or honored guests).
Guests of all ages can appreciate art, so adding this service doubles as added entertainment as they get a front-row seat of watching the creative process.
Live painting can suit all types of special events and can (therefore) be catered to a specific style or design idea. Vibrant or moody, impressionist or more realistic.
A brief consultation before the event helps your live painter identify and plan to accommodate for your unique and individualized design/style preferences and requests. Early consultation helps an artist and client fully realize their vision for the piece and how it fits into the event.
